Kind of started as a joke, but they did quickly become my favorite deck.

I just wish they had more rigidity.

@fredv That is the page I used prior to purchasing my deck. It was extremely helpful. I can’t thank you enough for that. I was so happy to be armed with all those tips to inspect the deck I was considering buying. It passed the muster on all accounts and I finally got to add a sealed deck of JNs to my collection.

I found these boxes on Amazon. They are 7/10 okay.

I store them in boxes the height of the deck. So they end up getting folded forward onto the deck. I don’t crease them though, if that makes sense. They just get stored that way for so long it’s the way they are.
you can kind of see it here: https://imgur.com/6ldUyxQ

Oh. No the cards are straight edge standard poker size 2.5″x 3.5″ That might be a crease in the AoS causing the card to bend. Several of the cards in my deck have creases. Not in the greatest shape, but the color is still great on them. I should really put them all in sleeve protectors, being as old as they are.

@kelvin199 Not sure I understand the question. Pyramid was around 1920-1933, so that is all I know about the date. I think the Home Run Brand was their lower end branding, but I really like it because it’s very in tune with Brooklyn Baseball in the 1920s. lol. But the cardstock and finish isn’t that great. I have a complete deck of 52, but no…[Read more]

Heck, just noticed mine say 1984 on the box, where yours say 1983. No way they updated that every year. It would also be odd if they updated blue in 1984 and red in 1983

Here are mine:
I’ve noticed the seal is different. Biggest difference of course is that mine are Casino Back and yours are solid Diamonds. Interesting. Not sure what the purpose of “Casino” is. Maybe just to show where they put the logo of Casino’s they sell to.

Patrick replied to the topic Other than USPCC in the forum Playing Card Companies 6 years, 4 months ago
It’s always nice to go back and acquire vintage decks of companies that have fallen victim to USPCC. Buy a few decks from before they got bought you. There is a lot of variety in the finish and stock: Hoyle, Fournier, Arrco, Waddington.
Other brands that I know about: Paitnik, Cartamundi, Gemaco, Copag, Liberty Playing Cards, Royal (Taiwan)

@aronprins I think I have too many to list and most aren’t really worth a lot, so the extra effort to list them all is too much. It’s actually pretty time consuming to list them all through eBay. But I do have to clear up a bit.
@danielmz Yeah eBay kind of auto populates the shipping now. I priced overseas to Singapore the other day and it…[Read more]

Hello All,
I’ve posted a bunch of items on eBay for high prices. Just looking to narrow down my collection and focus solely on single Poker Decks. I’m selling off all my various card games, some duplicates, older dual decks, etc.
Please feel free to haggle on anything you see. Message me here or on e…[Read more]

Somewhere between 1983 and 2001
Min 1983 due to copyright. PGC was a brand by Hoyle much longer than that, however they changed the Box in 1983.
Max 2001 when USPCC purchased Hoyle.
I have a few of these and will take a look to see if I can spot and small differences.
