I personally used a card presser to flatten my bend cards. I do not put it with the tuck box though (photo attached). Just square up the cards as evenly as possible. A night or two in it will flatten even the edges!
The only issue i have with the acrylic card presser is that the paint of the card will stick onto the acrylic. So i think it will be worthwhile to invest in those high quality metal card presser!
