Went to my local antique shop and got some goodies today. Here we have two decks in this black velvet box from Waddingtons Playing Card Co. The box reads: “By Appointment To Her Majesty The Queen Manufactures Of Playing Cards Waddinngtons Playing Card Co LTD.”
I Wonder what year these are?

I know this reply is a little late… Okay, I have only been on this forum for a few weeks, and I was looking around for these guys. It seems that they are vintage Waddingtons from the 60’s or 70’s. According to the website, The World of Playing Cards; Hasbro, a large toy company, bought Waddington’s Games in 1994. Waddington’s No.1 Playing Cards are still a best seller in Britain, but today they are marketed by Winning Moves, who bought the brand from Hasbro, together with Lexicon. That might be a place to start looking into to see if they have any specific dates and releases. Cheers.
