In all honesty when I see the playing cards, I always remember the \'Coco Bongo\' from the animated tv show, The Mask. The ambience and the people in it are sort of living in the old days. A nostalgic deck I could say. And I love how the design goes well with the theme of Florida. It also looks like a deck from Theory11 but its not. I M P E R I A L 2 of 3 An in depth look of the deck themselves you\'ll immediately see that the box is covered halfaway by a premium matte gold paper sleeve covering half of the tuck that indicates the name of the deck and hand numbered at the bottom. The main tuck box is made out of a felt-like paper stock to mimic a velvet material that is usually used by royalty. There are also embossing and debossing on the tuck. At the front are circular crest to make it look like a band wrapping around the box, and at the back is the 1:1 ratio of the card backs. Opening it, you\'re greeted with interior design adding luxury to its status. A deck that truly exemplifies Regality. L I V I N G S T O N E A beautiful artwork from Jonathan Schubert in collaboration with Derek Mckee & Zach Davidson. In my interpretation ofcthe deck, I can\'t help but be drawn to it for its theme of African explorers/scientists. My favorite part of this deck is the stamp-like Lion insignia probably signifying a guild of intellectuals. Beside it are 2 palm trees that compliments the back design ofcthe cards. Opening the tuck the back design are palm leaves overlapping but arranged in a way to make it a two-way design. The Ace of Spades is an explorer wearing a monocle and framed by what seems to be either horns of a wildebeest or tusks of an elephant. There is another variant with black matte tuck box with gold foiling that I dont have. I much prefer this one but a little comment is that I wish the tuck on this is matte instead of glossy. Would love to go to Africa someday. Where do you want to go now? L I V I N G S T O N E A beautiful artwork from Jonathan Schubert in collaboration with Derek Mckee & Zach Davidson. In my interpretation ofcthe deck, I can\'t help but be drawn to it for its theme of African explorers/scientists. My favorite part of this deck is the stamp-like Lion insignia probably signifying a guild of intellectuals. Beside it are 2 palm trees that compliments the back design ofcthe cards. Opening the tuck the back design are palm leaves overlapping but arranged in a way to make it a two-way design. The Ace of Spades is an explorer wearing a monocle and framed by what seems to be either horns of a wildebeest or tusks of an elephant. There is another variant with black matte tuck box with gold foiling that I dont have. I much prefer this one but a little comment is that I wish the tuck on this is matte instead of glossy. Would love to go to Africa someday. Where do you want to go now? L E C H A T R O U G E 1 of 3 Designed by Stockholm17, this is the 3rd and final version of the No. 17 line which is French for \'Red Cat\'. The tuck box material is made of premium black matte card stock with Red foil accent all throughout. Another subtle design is the application of black foil scroll work at the front, and grid like scroll work at the back; a 1 to 1 scale of the card backs. Seen also at the back are two black felines with red eyes forming a perfect circle that makes it a two-way back design, a sort of yin-yang vibe. Another feature of the tuck box is a small diamond cut-out the shows a glimpse of the foiling done on the cards as well. Opening the box, you are greeted by Lorenzo Gaggiotti\'s signature at the flap, the man behind Stockholm17. And the cards themselves although familiar in pip layout, all of them are custom in design, being the Ace of Diamond as the Power Ace with a red cat perched at the top. The court cards are all redesigned and a familiar trademark of Lorenzo\'s amazing artwork emanates through each one. Overall, a deck that does not dissapoint.
