Marvel at the intricate and religious designs through its fine linework and ornate courts. I for one am truly fond of this deck because of the attachment of religion incorporated from the tuck, down to its cards. And what I truly love about it are the 2 cards forming a diptych image of the crusades. One card is full of crusaders, and the other is ayyubids. In all honesty when I see the playing cards, I always remember the \'Coco Bongo\' from the animated tv show, The Mask. The ambience and the people in it are sort of living in the old days. A nostalgic deck I could say. And I love how the design goes well with the theme of Florida. It also looks like a deck from Theory11 but its not. There\'s a full in depth review of the deck if you head to @thecardguyyt Youtube channel. Where these photos are inspired from. Lastly, who doesn\'t love turtles? The way they used white ink for the turtle, completely stands out. Overall a very intricate tuckbox yet standard cards which is perfect for a game of poker. The faces of the cards don\'t shy away from the spotlight as it also flaunts its beauty with the courts matching the theme of royalty and power through its color palette, patterns of the garments and facial expressions. Giving the Kings, Queens & Jacks shadowing for depth. This is a deck that deserves its own bulletproof glass case and a vault in a museum. The main tuck box is made out of a felt-like paper stock to mimic a velvet material that is usually used by royalty. There are also embossing and debossing on the tuck. At the front are circular crest to make it look like a band wrapping around the box, and at the back is the 1:1 ratio of the card backs. Opening it, you\'re greeted with interior design adding luxury to its status. A deck that truly exemplifies Regality. In my interpretation ofcthe deck, I can\'t help but be drawn to it for its theme of African explorers/scientists. My favorite part of this deck is the stamp-like Lion insignia probably signifying a guild of intellectuals. Beside it are 2 palm trees that compliments the back design ofcthe cards. Opening the tuck the back design are palm leaves overlapping but arranged in a way to make it a two-way design. The Ace of Spades is an explorer wearing a monocle and framed by what seems to be either horns of a wildebeest or tusks of an elephant. There is another variant with black matte tuck box with gold foiling that I dont have. I much prefer this one but a little comment is that I wish the tuck on this is matte instead of glossy. Would love to go to Africa someday. Where do you want to go now? This is my first ever photoshoot with @anyone playing cards and I hope I did not disappoint. After seeing the cards for the first time, the thought process was very long. I had this deck for almost 2 years now. And I was going back and forth on 2 different ideas. Either go for a minimalist shoot or a darkroom shoot; a room to process photographic film, to make prints and to carry out other associated tasks. But I finally decided to go for a more old forensic approach. The Jacks look like an artist\'s sketch of different suspects in crimes. The Queens are images of women that to me look like missing persons posters that authorities use in searching. And finally the Kings are different corpses that could be victims of the Jacks. One if not the most unusual playing cards I have in my collection for the nature of its graphic content. Regardless, I like this deck. The tuck box material is made of premium black matte card stock with Red foil accent all throughout. Another subtle design is the application of black foil scroll work at the front, and grid like scroll work at the back; a 1 to 1 scale of the card backs. Seen also at the back are two black felines with red eyes forming a perfect circle that makes it a two-way back design, a sort of yin-yang vibe. Another feature of the tuck box is a small diamond cut-out the shows a glimpse of the foiling done on the cards as well. Opening the box, you are greeted by Lorenzo Gaggiotti\'s signature at the flap, the man behind Stockholm17. And the cards themselves although familiar in pip layout, all of them are custom in design, being the Ace of Diamond as the Power Ace with a red cat perched at the top. The court cards are all redesigned and a familiar trademark of Lorenzo\'s amazing artwork emanates through each one. Overall, a deck that does not dissapoint. Always habe been a fan of Lorenzo\'s work and how he translate each artpiece. 📸:Me 😁 Follow me on IG: instagram.com/f.cuvin Instagram.com/tobefrankwithcards Processed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetFrank Alan Cuvin posted an updateL E C H A T R O U G E 1 of 3 Designed by Stockholm17, this is the 3rd and final version of the No. 17 line which is French for \'Red Cat\'. The court cards are the center of attraction with its hotel and classy bar like theme. The Jacks being the waiters that serve the guests who are the Kings & Queens with outfits from the 1920s to 1950s. The tuck box doesn\'t shy away from the spotlight as its gold foiling enhances the decks elegance. Overall, a deck to pick up for my fellow collectors out there. 📸:Me 😁 Follow me on Instagram: Instagram.com/f.cuvin Instagram.com/tobefrankwithcards Processed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with presetProcessed with VSCO with preset+6Frank Alan Cuvin posted an updateR O O S E V E L T The Hollywood Roosevelt is a historic landmark and legendary hotel dating back to 1927. A different cloud, a different hue. In relation to that, I\'ve always been fascinated with aviation and how its development made my dreams come to reality when I first hopped on a plane and became one with the heavens for just a brief moment. A very surreal experience that I\'ll gladly repeat over and over. This deck is a tribute; a different take from the classic playing cards from way back when (more than 90 years ago) with the same name, providing standard faces with a touch of crosshatch shading on the court cards. 📸 :Me 😁 Follow me on IG: Instagram.com/f.cuvin Instagram.com/tobefrankwithcards Processed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetProcessed with VSCO with a6 presetFrank Alan Cuvin posted an updateA V I A T O R S The sky has always been my first love in nature for it shows emotion.
